Nutritional Aid For Daycares

Research shows that taking the time to teach and help establish healthy eating habits early in life has positive effects on a child's health and well being. The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), a nutrition education and reimbursement program knows this well. The CACFP Program is funded as part of the National School Lunch Act by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). The CACFP helps to assure parents that their children are receiving nutritious meals that contribute to a reduction in spending on health care and remedial education. Last year, the CACFP helped child care providers serve nutritious meals to 2.9 million children and adults across our nation.

The CACFP Program assures that nutritious meals and snacks are served to children and eligible adults enrolled in child care centers, family child care homes, after school programs, emergency shelters, and adult day care programs by providing reimbursement for meals that meet minimum nutritional standards. Joining the CACFP program just makes good business sense.

Nutritional Aid Network for Children, Inc as an administrative sponsor, through Bright from the Start, Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning works to make an impact on the thousands of children and adults receiving quality care in the state of Georgia. Nutritional Aid Network will work with your business to provide training and technical assistance on nutrition, food service operations, program management, nutrition education and recordkeeping in regards to the CACFP program.

Our goals are simple:

  • to improve and maintain the health and nutritional status of children and adults;
  • promote development of good eating habits;
  • integrate nutritious food service with organized day care services.

Your Success Is Our Success!
